| For all you makeup junkies in New Orleans, New Orleans Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis opened "BGD Makeup Artistry & Beauty Bar" I wanted a place where New York City Fashion Week meets Pampered Princesses. I enjoy being a girl, playing with makeup, having cocktails and listening to electic music from Sarah Vaughn, Debbie Reynolds, Britney Spears, NoDoubt, Marilyn Monore, Etta James, Janet Jackson and many more girlie tunes. So I wanted my place to represent where me, my friends, and clients would love to come to and get there brows, lashes and makeup done as well as shop for items that you cannot find at the malls. It's not a day spa or anything like that but a place where us girls can get beauty services, buy makeup, pick up a fun gift such as body products, handbags, jewerly, frames and other things us girls like. I would like for women in New Orleans to think of BGD Beauty Bar when they have somewhere nice to attend and they would like to get their makeup done or think of BGD Beauty Bar when you would like to do something nice for someone like your mom, daughter, friend, sister or co-worker. If young teenage girls need makeup for their proms or winter formals The Beauty Bar is the place that they can come to and get ready and have fun. Since I haven't found anything like this in New Orleans, I wanted to share my girlie idea with the women in New Orleans. Magazine Street is the perfect location and I have so much room in this 1200 sq. ft building to share my dream with everyone. |

| On Thursday January 29, 2004 New Orleans Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis attended House of Blues 10th Anniversary Celebration. Gomez-Duplessis said "I have such great memories here at House of Blues with my girls and close friends." "I've party liked a rock star here many nights" says Gomez-Duplessis. When I worked for Bad Boy Entertainment & Arista Records I would bring a lot of the artists here for shows and of course every one of those dates sold out. I think my favorite was when I brought Artist "Black Rob" to do his hit single "WHOA" and Aimee Clarke was parading on stage holding up "Black Rob" posterboard and both of us throwing out T-shirts on stage to the crowd then later after performaning the song I presented him with a cake that was scanned with his picture. That was sexy! Another great night was when Michelle Miller had her bachlorette party in the patio and we got so messed up drinking bottles of champagne, that was also sexy. My godfather Dwight Payne always made sure that the girls and I were always taken care of and just showered us with red carpet treatment. Love Ya Dwight!!! I don't have any pictures with Laura Tennysion but she's the lady of House of Blues. I remember one night my daughter Envy and I came to see "O Town" on J. Records and I was there to work and my daughter couldn't see even though we were in the VIP section, Laura fixed our seats so that Envy could enjoy the show, that was very sweet. That night Envy had her first Shirley Temple. Another great night was when the NFL contacted me to help staff there Superbowl party and needed models from my agency as well as other local agencies. We party hard that night, very hard!!! The night next Dwight had us upstairs in The Foundation Room and that was a wild night. Bottles of champagne kept coming to us by the guys that was in there. I don't know how we made it home. Last year Essence was fun. It was Magic Johnson white linen night. And I attended that event with my husband Michael and assistant Natalie Martin. Actually the picture at the top with Magic and I was from that night. Did a lot of networking that night. We sat in the restaurant in The Foundation Room talking with Magic Johnson about business and crap. I'll never forget the night we were there with the late Big Pun and The Terror Squad. Not long after that the late Big Pun past. He was such a great person that I miss him so much. There are so many more great stories that I can go on and on. So many friends performed on that stage and so many wild things happened in the green room bathroom that if I was smart I should haved filmed it all and would have been a millonaire by now. I'll always have great memories at House of Blues in New Orleans. Happy Anniversary!!!! |

A lot of teens love the retail items they find at BGD Beauty Bar because the items are being brought from New York and they are not a regular stores. The retail items we are buying will not be in New Orleans stores. At least that's our goal. |

She picked out this cotton boy beater and boy style underwear in a variety of colors in Novemeber '03 while in New York. She kept insisting that this is an item that is going to be hot, a must have for the spring. Well, I guess she was right! They are priced between $22-$25 at BGD Beauty Bar. |
| Go pick up a Gambit Weekly this week 03.22.04 and review the photo shoot that I did in L'Image Spring 2004 insert. This fashion photo shoot was so much fun. We started early that morning and finished about 3 pm. Everyone that worked on the photo shoot was a pleasure to work with. It was great to work with Romney the photography again. On April 7, 2004 my former boss Shawn Prez, National Director of Promotions & Marketing for Bad Boy Entertainment and former Road Manager for P. Diddy was in town with Bad Boy Record Music Artist LOON & Mario Winans. Both artist performed at CLUB 360 for 104.5 fm "Girls Nite Out". You may have seen him on MTV Reality Show "Making The Band 2. He looks like a tough guys but underneath he is nothing but a teddy bear. It was actually fun just hanging out instead of running around working the event. |
