Model Shontell needed new pictures so she called upon BGD Beauty Bar, the hottest makeup studio in New Orleans. Shontell wanted to go to a location that she felt comfortable at. The energy at BGD Beauty Bar is so much fun and it has so much energy that as a female model I felt comfortable working with Brandy, says Shontell. If I was going to spend money I wanted a place that was going to be the best and so it wasn't hard for me to decide on where to go in New Orleans plus I wanted a makeup artist that actually knew how to do black hair and makeup on black skin says Shontell. When Shontell told Owner and Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis that she could do whatever she wanted Gomez-Duplessis did just that. She did hair, makeup, pictures and also provided some sexy clothing. My favorite is the brown fur coat that Brandy brought from New York, I will be using her services for all my photo shoots and of course for Essence Music Festival.

Tulane University student Katherine Allen always call on BGD Beauty Bar for all of her special functions and events. Katherine came in and told Owner and Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis she wanted a fresh spring look wih a touch of a sexy feel, and BGD knew exactly the look to give Katherine. As you can see ladies BGD can do all skin types and this is why she is New Orleans most sought after makeup artist.When woman have special events they need to attend they always count on coming to BGD Beauty Bar for their special makeup application. BGD always give each one their own special look never making everyone look the same. Katherine received the Full Makeup Application that comes with a set of lashes that last for at least 10 days. Mascara free for 10 days gotta love it!! Also, BGD shaped Katherine brows another technique that BGD is very very good at. BGD does her brow shaping with tweezers only so she could get a better shape and she finds that clients can go at least 3 weeks when she tweeze.

New Orleans Model Shontell Taylor came back to BGD Beauty Bar to do another photo shoot for the fall 2005 season. Since she received such great feedback on her last set of pictures she knew it was a no brainer to come back. As usual she gave makeup artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis free range to do whatever she wanted from hair, clothes, and of course makeup. Gomez-Duplessis is very creative and very talented that she did everything. The shoot started at 11am and they wrapped up about 4pm. Gomez-Duplessis gave model a variety of looks and a total of 524 pictures were taken on this day. Gomez-Duplessis really wanted to do different things so that Shontell could use these pictures for all types of assignments. Everyone always asked if BGD makeup is as good as M.A.C. Cosmetics...see for yourself ladies. So if you know of any models in New Orleans that needs new pictures have them make their next appointment at BGD Beauty Bar. This was  BGD first Photo Shoot in Houston Texas after Hurricane Katrina. I just think she is such an amazing girl to get right back up in continue to do what she love. For new clients to contact her right away was another reason why she was able to jump right back into this hard industry. I just want to say this is why I work with her she is such a great business person and I love to help out with placing pictures because she is AWESOME. If I just lost everything I owned I would be a wreck BGD she not lost a beautiful home but a very successful business.... MOVING ON.... The New York photographer for this shoot is Amy Dunn and it was done at Kemah Boardwalk. Model Mairlynn was a trooper and very professional at all times on set. If correct, I believe the model is also with Neil Hamil Agency in Houston Texas.

The second photo shoot was done at Jose' Eber Salon the models again are from Neil Hamil Modeling Agency...I believe this is one of the largest modeling agency in Houston, Texas. The shoot was for PaperCity Magazine and the issue will be out April 06. Everyone that helped with hair & makeup was the staff at Jose' Eber Salon. BGD worked with Christophe, Felipie  Paris and Johnas from Houston..they are amazing!!!!

As you can all see, New Orleans Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis is a real Makeup Artist.  She is very talented and can work with all races, not just black and spanish women. This young lady has been busy since Hurricane Katrina being hired by entertainers and locals. She went on tour with L'Oreal Cosmetics to help promote their new line "HIP", worked with Access Hollywood, TV Personality Maria Menous, Montel Williams, Usher and appeared on The Tyra Bank Show. Not to bad for someone who lost a home and a successful business.
