| I am such a brow freak and when I was in New Orleans visting I needed to have my brows done but was scared because not everybody can do brows. | Let me start by saying if you ever thought about trying lashes then on Wednesday ladies you need to go to The Beauty Bar. You can get them cheap $10.00 on Wednesday. Brandy will have you coming back every two weeks like me. I love them and nobody know that I have on fake lashes because Brandy makes them look real. I need to go to AA for lashes because I can't live without them. Brandy is the BEST!!!! ? |
| If you are a bride in New Orleans then you must hire Brandy to be your makeup artist. She is worth every dollar spent. I hired Brandy for all day which cost $300.00. Again it was worth it. I was told that I was the prettiest bride they have ever seen by every person that attended my wedding. My makeup was perfect. I met with Brandy and told her what I wanted and it was so pretty. She is so professional and was such a help to me at my wedding. She actually did more than my wedding coordinator and my maid of honor at my wedding. I come to New Orleans at least 15 times a year. I have been using Brandy as my makeup artists for Mardi Gras. My husband rides in one of the parades so every year I come down for Mardi Gras to party as well attend the Mardi Gras Balls. I have tried a lot of makeup artist before I met Brandy and I must say she is the Best Makeup Artist in New Orleans. She is a guru when it comes to makeup & eyebrows. I have not been to her store but have heard great things about it. Brandy is the best at everything so I will be going to The Beauty Bar when in New Orleans to not only get my regualr services but to buy all the great products and sexy loungewear that she retails. | I just started coming to New Orleans Top Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis and I must say she is the best at what she does. She was able to shape my brows, and give me a flawless makeup application and I was able to buy a cute handbag at her shop. What more can I woman ask for. She didn't try to make me buy items that I wouldn't use or know how to use like M.A.C. makeup artist does. She was very easy to talk to and what I like is that she have women of all color, black, white, asian their waiting to see her. | I was a recent bride that used Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis for her wedding. I actually did the all day service and I must say it was worth it. Brandy was on time and very professional. Everybody in my wedding party looked so good.I just received my pictures and all of us looked so flawless and if it wasn't for Brandy being in my face all day touchin me up I would have hated my pictures. I also enjoyed the gift basket that was in the package. The champagne, the candle, the cheese everything was well thought out. Brandy is so cool and hip All my girls was so happy that they had a professional makeup artist doing their face who has worked with music artist, magazines, and television companies. If any bride is looking for top professional serivce for their wedding in New Orleans add this Makeup Artist to your list because she is worth it. After viewing the before and after photos on your website I had high expectations but you exceeding even my highest expectation. | On my trip to New Orleans I was told to shop on Magazine Street because it's the hippest street to shop on. I stumped across the hottest makeup and retail store on Magazine Street called BGD Beauty Bar. The first thing that caught my eyes was the HOT PINK carpet. The music was medium tone and one of my favorite songs by Nina Simone was on "Feeling Good". Right away I knew I was going to enjoy this store. I was greeted by a sales person and I asked about the services that I saw on the window because I wanted to get my brows shaped, and for $10 why not. There was an opening in 5 mins so I told her I would shop till then. The makeup artist that was doing services was very pretty and usually makeup artist are not and she was dress very unique. She had on about 4-5 strands of pearls a funky tee with jeans and heels. When it was my turned she came over to get me and introduced herself. After she said her name I knew she was the owner, Brandy Gomez-Duplessis, so that's where the BGD comes from. Her name sounds like she should be on television. She was very different then what I thought she was going to be and very gentle with her touch. She remind me of a girlfriend because we were able to talk like old friends. She shaped my brows like the girls back home in LA which was excellent. After my services I continued to shop in brought this awesome lip lacquer and the cream to powder foundation. I am giving this store an A+ because they had great customer service and the store is one of the best and unique ones I have seen in awhile. CORAL |

You have a beautiful store and I will tell everyone that I know to start coming to you for brows and makeup for any event or occasion. | I am writing to you today to tell you thank you for EVERYTHING. My girlfriends and I really enjoyed ourselves. It was a different and fun way to spend my bridal shower with my girls without having to go to a nightclub, bar, or on Bourbon Street to celebrate my wedding. I am so glad my event planner told me about your place. I never knew that makeup and martini could be that much fun. You were so patience, kind and a true artist. | I attended the Anita Baker party and was one of the girls that you put lashes on that night. I love them so much that I will be coming back to see you and a few weeks for a wedding that I am going to be in. Also for all the big events like Essence and Bayou Classic. I told the bride about all the services that you offer. We (African American) sistas need a place like yours. I hope all the sistas support what you are trying to do. This is New Orleans so it may take a minute for them to jump on what you are bringing to this city. Also a lot of black girls don't wear makeup because they really don't know how.
